On the reaction day the stock moved 2.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 2.4 pts more than its Housing Finance Company peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Standalone Q2 profit rose 48% year on year to Rs 20,185.62 lakh; consolidated profit rose 24% to Rs 22,654.89 lakh. Consolidated half-year revenue rose 30% and profit 26%. The results were unaudited with an unmodified auditor review. The board declared a Rs 2 per share interim dividend, payable by November 30. Consolidated operating cash flow was negative Rs 12,794.95 lakh. WestBridge plans to fully exit and seek public reclassification.
Profit growth and dividend support returns, but negative consolidated operating cash flow is a caution; the promoter exit may improve stock liquidity.
