Q1 FY27 standalone revenue from operations rose about 15 percent YoY to Rs 1,320 crore versus Rs 1,144 crore. Net profit jumped 184 percent to Rs 151 crore from Rs 53 crore on lower raw material costs and better operating leverage. EBITDA margin expanded to 24.4 percent from 16.7 percent. Both automotive and float glass segments posted strong growth with segment profits rising sharply. Consolidated revenue grew 14 percent to Rs 1,419 crore and consolidated PAT rose 172 percent to Rs 149 crore. Board also approved re-appointment of Mr. Masao Fukami as Dy. Managing Director Technical for a second term of 4 years from Jan 2027.
Sharp profit and margin beat signals recovery in auto and float glass demand, likely positive for stock sentiment.
