Asahi Songwon Colors has reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated unaudited results. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose about 18% year-on-year to Rs 10,613.27 lakhs, but profit after tax dipped slightly to Rs 553.39 lakhs from Rs 564.78 lakhs. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew around 12% to Rs 14,987.78 lakhs, but profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 259.48 lakhs from Rs 437.81 lakhs. The standalone EPS was Rs 4.69 versus Rs 4.79, and consolidated EPS dropped to Rs 2.68 from Rs 4.39. The weak consolidated performance was driven mainly by the API segment, which swung from a Rs 169.08 lakh profit a year ago to a Rs 44.19 lakh loss this quarter. The board also appointed SPANJ & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years starting FY26. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications.
Strong top-line growth on standalone basis is positive, but the sharp fall in consolidated profits and the API segment turning into a loss may pressure the stock. Investors should watch API segment performance in coming quarters, as it is the key swing factor for consolidated earnings.
