Aspinwall reported mixed Q2 and weak H1 FY26 results. Standalone revenue grew 11.3% YoY in Q2 to ₹8,053 lakhs and 9.4% for H1 to ₹16,852 lakhs. However, standalone H1 slipped into a loss after tax of ₹141 lakhs versus a profit of ₹666 lakhs last year, as the Coffee segment swung to a ₹210 lakh loss from a ₹667 lakh profit. Consolidated H1 also posted a loss after tax of ₹47 lakhs versus a ₹745 lakh profit. An exceptional item of ₹576 lakhs in Q2 helped mask a loss before exceptional items of ₹323 lakhs for the quarter and ₹773 lakhs for H1. Operating cash flow turned sharply negative at ₹(2,360) lakhs standalone and ₹(2,425) lakhs consolidated for H1, and short-term borrowings rose from ₹6,619 lakhs to ₹7,838 lakhs.
Shareholders should note the swing to half-year losses driven by the Coffee business and margin compression, even as topline grew modestly. The negative operating cash flow and rising short-term debt point to working-capital stress, though the exceptional item cushioned the bottom line for the quarter.
