Associated Ceramics Ltd reported audited results for FY25 with revenue from operations at Rs. 4,194.26 lakhs, up about 3.4% from Rs. 4,055.00 lakhs last year. Profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs. 215.90 lakhs from Rs. 85.66 lakhs in FY24, nearly 2.5x growth. For Q4 alone, the company swung from a loss of Rs. 49.04 lakhs to a profit of Rs. 24.65 lakhs, on revenue of Rs. 1,126.90 lakhs. The statutory auditor Sanjay Gulab & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The board decided not to declare any dividend for FY25 and approved redemption of 1 lakh 6% preference shares at Rs. 500 each, totalling Rs. 5 crore, payable from company reserves. New internal auditor and secretarial auditor were also appointed.
Strong profit growth and clean audit report are positive signals for shareholders, though the absence of a dividend and the Rs. 5 crore preference share redemption (paid from reserves) mean cash is going out rather than to shareholders. The stock price could react mildly positive on the profit turnaround, but the small scale of the company limits broader market impact.
