Astral Limited's Board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 1,207.1 crore from Rs 1,253 crore in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 3.7%. Standalone net profit dropped sharply to Rs 96.6 crore from Rs 128.1 crore, a fall of roughly 24.6%, with EPS at Rs 3.60 vs Rs 4.77. On a consolidated basis, revenue was Rs 1,361.2 crore (down ~1.6% YoY) while net profit declined to Rs 79.2 crore from Rs 119.5 crore, a steep ~33.7% drop. The Plumbing segment saw revenue decline (~5.9% YoY), while the Paints and Adhesives segment grew nearly 10% YoY. The company completed the acquisition of Al-Aziz Plastics Pvt Ltd for Rs 33 crore, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. Auditor SRBC & Co LLP issued a clean, unqualified review report with no modifications.
Profitability has weakened materially despite modest revenue softness, driven by higher depreciation, employee costs, and losses from subsidiaries — likely to weigh on near-term sentiment. However, the new acquisition and growth in the Paints and Adhesives segment provide a positive long-term narrative.
