Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd reported revenue from operations of Rs 2,69,352 lakhs for FY2026, up 2.2% from Rs 2,63,559 lakhs in FY2025. Net profit after tax fell significantly to Rs 5,731 lakhs from Rs 8,794 lakhs in the previous year, a decline of about 35%. EPS for the year stood at Rs 28.63 versus Rs 43.93 in FY2025. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 10 per share (100%). Exceptional items of Rs 210.26 lakhs were recognized due to the implementation of New Labour Codes. Sugar segment contributed Rs 10,184 lakhs to profits, down from Rs 16,037 lakhs. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements.
The sharp decline in profitability despite marginal revenue growth signals margin compression, likely due to higher raw material costs and labour code adjustments. Shareholders may see pressure on near-term returns, though the dividend declaration provides some support.
