Axtel Industries Ltd (CIN: L91110GJ1991PLC016185), which makes process engineering equipment for the food processing industry, filed its audited FY25 results. Total income for FY25 stood at about Rs 22,652.64 lakh versus Rs 22,333.30 lakh in FY24, a marginal rise of roughly 1.4%. Profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 1,802.52 lakh in FY25 from Rs 3,213.34 lakh in FY24, a decline of nearly 44%. For Q4 FY25 alone, PAT was Rs 475.99 lakh versus Rs 531.19 lakh in the year-ago quarter. Full-year EPS came in at Rs 11.16 against Rs 19.89 previously. The numbers were impacted by an exceptional item of Rs 2,393.27 lakh related to insurance maturity proceeds. The statutory auditor VRCA & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, and a separate declaration of unmodified opinion was signed by Whole-time Director Ajay Naishad Desai.
Sharply lower YoY profits — partly due to the large exceptional item affecting comparability — along with weaker cash generation may weigh on near-term investor sentiment, though the clean audit opinion and broadly stable revenue suggest core operations remain intact.
