Axtel Industries, which makes process engineering equipment for the food processing industry, posted strong full-year results for FY25. Total income from operations rose about 22% to roughly Rs 22,333 lacs from Rs 18,322 lacs in FY24. Profit after tax for the year jumped to about Rs 3,213 lacs from Rs 1,802 lacs — a growth of nearly 78% — with full-year EPS of Rs 19.89 versus Rs 11.16 last year. A large one-time gain of Rs 2,393 lacs from keyman insurance maturity proceeds meaningfully boosted bottom-line numbers. In Q4 alone, however, PAT slipped slightly to Rs 476 lacs versus Rs 531 lacs in Q4 FY24. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Clean auditor opinion and a sharp jump in full-year profits are supportive, but a sizeable chunk of the earnings boost came from a non-recurring insurance claim. Q4 standalone profit was slightly lower year-on-year, so investors should weigh the underlying operating performance separately from the exceptional gain. Overall, results are positive for shareholders.
