V2 Retail has completed its QIP, allotting 18,74,414 equity shares to qualified institutional buyers at ₹2,134 per share, raising approximately ₹400 crore (₹39,999.99 lakhs). The issue price includes a premium of ₹2,124 over the face value of ₹10 and was set at a 4.98% discount (₹111.75) to the floor price determined under SEBI ICDR rules. As a result, the company's paid-up equity capital increased from ₹3,458.93 lakhs to ₹3,646.38 lakhs, a dilution of about 5.4%. Notable allottees include Motilal Oswal group funds (25% combined), Subhkam Ventures (15%), Malabar India Fund (10%), Edelweiss MF (7.5%), and Buoyant Opportunities Strategy (5.2%).
Existing shareholders face a ~5.4% equity dilution, but the company has successfully raised ₹400 crore from reputed institutional investors, which should strengthen its balance sheet for business expansion. The modest 4.98% discount to floor price suggests reasonable pricing and decent institutional demand.
