Baazar Style Retail (Style Baazar) approved its unaudited Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Consolidated revenue from operations rose sharply to ₹37,785.95 lakhs vs ₹27,579.42 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 37% year-on-year, driven by strong same-store and network expansion. The company swung back to a consolidated profit after tax of ₹205.56 lakhs from a loss of ₹42.03 lakhs a year ago, while standalone PAT was ₹206.75 lakhs vs a loss of ₹59.70 lakhs. An exceptional loss of ₹76.60 lakhs was booked because the Serampore fire-related PPE insurance claim was settled lower (₹347.97 lakhs vs ₹424.57 lakhs claimed). The auditor (Singhi & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review opinion but drew attention to the pending inventory insurance claim. The Board also appointed S.K. Joshi & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for 5 years and Mr. Alok Kumar Prakash as AVP – Supply Chain. Articles of Association changes were approved to align with post-IPO governance.
Strong top-line growth and a return to profitability signal improving operations, but the exceptional loss and pending inventory insurance recovery remain key things to watch. Margin pressure in the core business and unresolved Serampore fire claim could cap near-term upside despite the positive headline numbers.
