Baazar Style Retail Limited reported its Q1 FY27 results with revenue from operations of ₹48,638.39 lakhs, up about 28.9% from ₹37,744.25 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹48,987.60 lakhs, and profit after tax came in at ₹223.49 lakhs (vs ₹192.70 lakhs in Q1 FY26), translating to a basic EPS of ₹0.30. The full-year FY26 results (audited) showed revenue of ₹1,84,086.90 lakhs and profit after tax of ₹4,638.75 lakhs, a sharp turnaround from a loss of ₹2,575.55 lakhs in FY25. The results include exceptional items related to insurance settlement of the May 2024 Serampore warehouse fire (net loss), a large one-time exceptional gain of ₹5,525.90 lakhs from reassessment of lease terms, and ₹133.59 lakhs impact from new labour codes. The auditor (Singhi & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review opinion.
Strong top-line growth and a return to profitability at the annual level are positive signals for shareholders, though part of the FY26 profit boost is driven by a non-cash exceptional lease gain. The continued investment in store expansion funded via the preferential warrant issue (₹33,153.25 lakhs potential inflow) supports growth plans but also increases the equity base.
