Bajaj Electricals reported a standalone net loss of Rs. 7,726 lakhs for FY26 versus profit of Rs. 13,342 lakhs in FY25. Revenue declined 7.6% to Rs. 446,216 lakhs from Rs. 482,843 lakhs. The company faced significant exceptional items totaling Rs. 9,115 lakhs, including impairment of goodwill (Rs. 2,644 lakhs), impairment of moulds and dies (Rs. 2,931 lakhs), new labour codes impact (Rs. 2,872 lakhs), and VRS costs (Rs. 876 lakhs), partially offset by property sale gains (Rs. 3,013 lakhs). Consumer Products segment reported a loss of Rs. 4,890 lakhs before tax, while Lighting Solutions posted profit of Rs. 9,483 lakhs. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 3 per share for FY26, marking 100 years of Bajaj Group. Ms. Ashween Anand was appointed as CFO effective May 16, 2026. Shareholders will vote on a proposal to raise up to Rs. 500 crore via securities at the 87th AGM on August 6, 2026.
The stock may face pressure due to significant net loss, revenue decline, and large exceptional impairment charges. However, the clean audit opinion and unchanged dividend provide some stability. The Rs. 500 crore borrowing limit suggests potential future capital needs.
