Bajaj Electricals reported a net loss of Rs 7,726 lakhs for FY26 compared to a profit of Rs 13,342 lakhs in FY25. Revenue declined to Rs 446,216 lakhs from Rs 482,843 lakhs (down ~7.6%), with Consumer Products segment seeing a significant drop to Rs 334,265 lakhs from Rs 380,589 lakhs. The loss was driven by exceptional items totaling Rs 9,115 lakhs including impairment of goodwill (Rs 2,644 lakhs), impairment of moulds and dies (Rs 2,931 lakhs), and new labour codes impact (Rs 2,872 lakhs), partially offset by profit on property liquidation (Rs 3,013 lakhs). The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The Board maintained dividend at Rs 3 per share, approved borrowing limit of up to Rs 500 crore, and appointed Ms. Ashween Anand as CFO replacing interim CFO Mr. Suketu Shah.
The company swung to a significant loss due to revenue decline and large exceptional impairment charges. Despite a clean audit opinion, the substantial net loss and impairment charges signal operational challenges in the Consumer Products segment, which may weigh on the stock price in the near term.
