Bajaj Healthcare reported FY26 revenue of Rs 6,110.3 crore, up 12.6% from Rs 5,426.0 crore in FY25, showing steady topline growth. However, profit after tax dropped significantly to Rs 157.7 lakh (continuing operations: Rs 213.1 lakh) versus Rs 395.0 lakh in FY25, a decline of approximately 60%. The sharp profit decline was primarily due to a Rs 332.5 crore exceptional charge from reversing technical know-how income from a Middle East customer arrangement affected by regional instability. Without this exceptional item, operating profit before tax was Rs 621.7 crore, up 35% year-on-year. The company also completed warrant conversion, raising Rs 5,271 lakh, and recommended a 30% dividend (Rs 1.50 per share).
The stock may face near-term pressure due to the 60% PAT decline, but underlying business remains profitable with 35% operating profit growth excluding the one-time exceptional charge. The Middle East-related income reversal signals execution risk in international technical know-how agreements.
