Balaxi Pharmaceuticals submitted its Q1 FY26 results on August 5, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell to ₹1,670.82 lakhs from ₹1,902.58 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 12% year-on-year. Standalone net profit dropped sharply to ₹19.49 lakhs from ₹137.63 lakhs in the same quarter last year, with EPS at ₹0.04 versus ₹0.65. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations grew about 7.8% to ₹7,074.21 lakhs versus ₹6,562.15 lakhs a year ago, but net profit collapsed to ₹29.01 lakhs from ₹648.04 lakhs. The company also announced that its Dubai-based subsidiary acquired 100% of Balaxi Healthcare Nicaragua during the quarter. The Board shared an update on its first formulation plant at Jadcherla, Hyderabad, with IQ/OQ/PQ completed and stability batch production expected to start in early September 2025. Auditor P. Murali & Co. issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Despite stable to growing consolidated revenue, the steep drop in profit on both standalone and consolidated bases signals significant margin pressure and may weigh on near-term stock sentiment. However, the new Nicaragua acquisition and the upcoming commencement of the formulation plant indicate expansion plans that could support long-term growth.
