Balkrishna Paper Mills reported a qualified audit opinion for FY26 ended March 31, 2026. The auditor raised doubts about the company's ability to continue as a going concern due to negative net worth of Rs 17,544.16 lakhs. Q4 FY26 revenue declined sharply to Rs 88.96 lakhs from Rs 171.08 lakhs in Q4 FY25. For the full year, the company posted a net loss of Rs 688.58 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 664.49 lakhs in the previous year. The manufacturing business at Ambivali has been discontinued, and the company now focuses on paper/paperboard trading, which grew to Rs 473.22 lakhs from Rs 232.36 lakhs. The Board reappointed CMD Anuraag Poddar, WTD & CFO Manish Malpani, and Independent Director Prof. Mangesh Teli for fresh terms.
The qualified auditor opinion and negative net worth signal serious financial distress. Shareholders should be cautious as the company depends on generating sufficient cash flows to meet obligations. The continuation of leadership without major changes may not address underlying operational challenges.
