On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.4 pts less than its Paper & Paper Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Balkrishna Paper Mills tells BSE that NCLT Mumbai admitted its petition for reduction of share capital on 14 Oct 2026. The interim order only directs the company to issue notices to creditors and publish newspaper ads. Next hearing is 21 January 2027. Plan: adjust Rs 278 crore accumulated losses using Rs 23.3 crore Securities Premium and cut equity face value from Rs 10 to Re 1. Also convert Rs 110 crore preference shares into an unsecured non-interest loan. Company admits it has no major operations now and is exploring real estate.
No immediate change. If approved, equity face value falls to Re 1 but shareholder percentage stays same. Reflects severe past losses and weak business.
