Balmer Lawrie Investments, a Government of India holding company, reported its Q3 FY26 results. On a standalone basis, revenue was Rs 249.42 lakhs and profit after tax was Rs 158.77 lakhs for the quarter, while for 9M FY26 total revenue stood at Rs 9,836.92 lakhs and PAT at Rs 9,540.02 lakhs (largely driven by dividend income booked in Q2). On a consolidated basis, which reflects the actual operating businesses (industrial packaging, logistics, travel, greases & lubricants via subsidiary Balmer Lawrie & Co), Q3 revenue rose to Rs 66,597.15 lakhs from Rs 64,178.06 lakhs a year ago (~3.8% growth), with net profit at Rs 6,657.06 lakhs vs Rs 6,360.84 lakhs. For 9M FY26, consolidated revenue grew to Rs 2,00,801.97 lakhs and net profit to Rs 19,308.79 lakhs, with EPS of Rs 5.60. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified conclusion on both results but flagged an Emphasis of Matter regarding the new Labour Codes notified on 21 November 2025, whose financial impact is still being evaluated.
Results show steady but modest growth in the operating businesses, with the Travel & Vacations and Greases & Lubricants segments doing well while Industrial Packaging softened. The Labour Codes emphasis of matter is a watch-item as future provisioning could affect margins, though the auditor's conclusion remains unmodified, so the immediate impact on shareholders is limited.
