Balrampur Chini Mills reported standalone revenue of ₹6,271.15 crore for FY26, up ~15.8% from ₹5,415.38 crore in FY25, driven by strong growth in its distillery segment (up ~20% YoY to ₹1,720.97 crore) and the inclusion of its new PLA (Polylactic Acid) business. Standalone PAT grew marginally by ~1% to ₹347.22 crore, with basic EPS of ₹17.19. EBITDA margin compressed to approximately 12.4% from ~16.2% in the prior year due to higher raw material costs. The company raised ₹450 crore via a preferential equity issue. The Board reappointed Chairman & MD Mr. Vivek Saraogi and Executive Director Ms. Avantika Saraogi (his daughter) for 5-year terms from April 2027 and January 2027 respectively, subject to shareholder approval. Auditors (Lodha & Co LLP) issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications or going-concern flags.
Revenue growth is healthy but PAT growth is minimal due to margin compression; the related-party reappointments of promoter family members may attract scrutiny. The clean audit opinion and strong operating cash flow (₹599.47 crore) are positives.
