On the reaction day the stock moved in line with Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.4 pts more than its Sugar peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2FY27 consolidated revenue rose 12.3% to Rs 1,876.28 crore and PBT rose about 90% to Rs 151.56 crore. Sugar PBIT jumped 166% to Rs 140.75 crore on higher volumes and 14.5% better realisation, while distillery PBIT fell to Rs 39.13 crore. The Rs 3,080 crore, 80,000 TPA PLA plant is on track for Q4FY27; interim dividend is Rs 4 per share.
Sugar profit growth and dividend support sentiment, but distillery margin pressure, PLA spending and possible sugar imports may cap the re-rating.
