Standalone Q2 income rose 22.1 percent to Rs 9,735 crore and net profit 41.4 percent to Rs 2,310 crore. H1 profit was Rs 4,330 crore and operating cash flow was negative. Gross bad loans fell to 1.25 percent from 1.72 percent; capital ratio rose to 18.51 percent. Auditors highlighted Rs 250 crore reversed from COVID provisions, leaving Rs 510 crore held. It added Rs 500 crore for credit losses and fully covered net fraud losses of Rs 273 crore.
Profit growth and better bad-loan ratios may support the stock, but fraud losses, added credit provisions and negative bank cash flow remain risks.
