Bannari Amman Spinning Mills posted Q1 FY27 standalone PAT of Rs 1,381.60 lakhs, up about 175% from Rs 502.77 lakhs in Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations was Rs 21,650.93 lakhs, down marginally from Rs 21,739.27 lakhs YoY. Consolidated PAT rose to Rs 1,369.42 lakhs from Rs 455.73 lakhs. EPS stood at Rs 1.73 (consolidated Rs 1.71) versus Rs 0.63 last year. Profit jump was aided by lower raw material costs and a deferred tax credit of Rs 1,135.57 lakhs from adoption of the new tax regime. Statutory auditor issued an unmodified review report. Tranche I warrants were forfeited and Rs 655 lakhs moved to capital reserve.
Strong profit growth despite flat revenue, helped by lower input costs and a one-time deferred tax gain from the new tax regime. Positive for shareholders.
