Bansal Wire Industries reported Q1 FY26 revenue of INR 939 crores, up 15% year-on-year, with EBITDA of INR 75 crores (up 20% YoY) and net profit of INR 39 crores (up 24% YoY). The company sold 104,000 tons in the quarter, its highest ever, at 74% capacity utilization, and generated over INR 100 crores in free cash flow from operations. Management reiterated a 30% volume growth target for FY26 (about 1.2–1.3 lakh tons) and 10% EBITDA growth, but guided for a 20% decline in EBITDA per ton over FY26–FY27 as it prioritises market share gains. Margins are expected to recover from FY28 once the Sanand backward integration project (INR 600–650 crore capex) and specialty wire products (hose wire, IHT, steel cord) start contributing. Capex of INR 700–750 crores is planned across FY26–FY27, partly funded by debt, given low current leverage.
Near-term margins will be under pressure as the company invests for market share and ramps up new capacities, but the long-term story hinges on the Sanand project and specialty wires kicking in by FY27–FY28, which should support margin recovery and stronger cash flows for shareholders.
