On the reaction day the stock moved 2.6 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.5 pts less than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

BASF India held its NCLT-convened shareholders meeting on June 24, 2026 to approve the demerger of its Agricultural Solutions business into a new listed entity, BASF Agricultural Solutions India Limited (BASIL). Share entitlement ratio is 1:1. BASIL shares are expected to be allotted by March 2027 and listed on BSE and NSE. The demerged agrochemical unit posted sales of about INR 1,944 crore and PBT of INR 254 crore in FY25-26. SEBI had cleared the demerger in February 2026.
Shareholders will receive BASIL shares in a 1:1 ratio by March 2027, creating a focused pure-play agrochemical entity separate from BASF India.
