Bazel International Ltd, a non-banking financial company, submitted its audited financial results for the quarter and full year ended 31 March 2025 on both standalone and consolidated basis, along with the auditor's report, asset/liability statement, and cash flow statement. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results. Standalone total income fell sharply to Rs 407.24 lakh in FY25 from Rs 1,781.60 lakh in FY24, mainly because a one-time 'sale of services' of Rs 1,539.14 lakh in the prior year did not recur. Despite the revenue drop, standalone net profit jumped over four-fold to Rs 144.55 lakh (FY24: Rs 35.55 lakh) and EPS rose to Rs 7.59 from Rs 1.87, helped by higher other income and lower operating expenses. The board also appointed Mr. Vivek Singh as internal auditor and re-appointed Meenu G & Associates as secretarial auditor for five years.
Clean audit opinion and a sharp jump in full-year profit and EPS are positives for shareholders, but the steep revenue contraction and deeply negative operating cash flow (standalone -Rs 812.64 lakh vs -Rs 128.89 lakh last year) signal weak core earnings quality and warrant caution on the sustainability of profits.
