Berger Paints India reported standalone revenue of Rs 10,420 crore for FY2026, up 2.5% from Rs 10,169 crore last year. Standalone profit after tax grew 1.7% to Rs 1,096 crore with EPS of Rs 9.40. Consolidated revenue was Rs 11,880 crore (up 2.9%) but consolidated PAT declined 4.6% to Rs 1,128 crore due to higher costs. The board recommended dividend of Rs 4 per share (400%). Exceptional items included Rs 50 crore credit from new Labour Codes impact and Rs 36.81 crore loss from a warehouse fire, which was reversed as insurance claim is expected. Auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
Revenue growth was modest at ~2.5-3% and margins appear compressed, with consolidated PAT declining year-on-year. The dividend and clean audit are positives, but the margin pressure may concern investors.
