On the reaction day the stock moved 1.6 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.1 pts less than its Paints peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
For Q2 FY27, standalone revenue rose 11.9% to Rs 2,750.06 crore and consolidated revenue rose 13.2% to Rs 3,200.37 crore. H1 revenue grew 12.3% and 12.5%, respectively. Gross margins fell due to raw material inflation, high-cost inventory and delayed price hikes. A Rs 22 crore brand campaign also reduced quarterly operating profit. Management plans calibrated price rises and cost savings to restore margins.
Strong sales growth supports revenue, but margin pressure and campaign costs may cap profit growth. Price hikes and cost savings could aid recovery.
