BCCL's FY26 revenue from operations fell 14.3% to ₹13,644.78 cr from ₹15,917.21 cr. PAT crashed 89.7% to ₹128.28 cr (from ₹1,240.19 cr), partly cushioned by a ₹544.84 cr liability/provision write-back and reclassification of levies into revenue. Operating cash flow turned negative at ₹(640.64) cr vs ₹626.91 cr. Auditor flagged an Emphasis of Matter on accounting changes and pending reconciliations. Board approved revised coking coal prices and waived power consumer incentives from Apr 1, 2026.
Sharp profit decline and negative operating cash flow raise concerns; one-time write-backs mask underlying weakness in core operations.
