Bharat Forge announced its Q3 FY26 (quarter ended Dec 31, 2025) results. Consolidated revenue grew about 25% year-on-year to Rs 43,429 million, driven mainly by a near-doubling of the Defence segment and strong growth in the 'Others' segment. Consolidated profit after tax rose roughly 28% to Rs 2,728 million (EPS Rs 5.53 vs Rs 4.54). Standalone revenue was nearly flat at Rs 20,837 million with profit falling to Rs 2,880 million from Rs 3,460 million, hurt by an exceptional charge of Rs 487 million related to new Labour Codes. The Board declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 per share (100% on Rs 2 face value), with record date February 18, 2026 and payment by March 12, 2026. Mr B.P. Kalyani and Mr S.E. Tandale were reappointed as Executive Directors for five years from May 23, 2026 via postal ballot, while Mr Sumeet Banga ceased as President & CEO of the Industrial business.
Consolidated performance is healthy with strong Defence and emerging businesses offsetting softer standalone numbers, which should support the stock. The interim dividend of Rs 2 per share is modest and largely a continuation of past payouts, so it is unlikely to be a major catalyst on its own. Reappointment of senior Kalyani-family leadership provides management continuity, while the Industrial business leadership change and internal merger of Ferrovia Transrail with BF Infrastructure are routine housekeeping moves.
