The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.00 per equity share (10% on face value of Rs. 10) for FY25, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations grew about 18% to Rs. 304.13 crore and net profit rose around 17% to Rs. 26.45 crore, with EPS at Rs. 40.36. On a consolidated basis, however, the company swung to a net loss of Rs. 43.68 crore versus a profit of Rs. 10.51 crore last year, mainly due to losses in newly acquired subsidiaries. The company also raised funds via a preferential allotment of 7,04,781 shares at Rs. 1,356.40 per share, completed the 100% acquisition of Varenyam Healthcare and 40% in Varenyam Biolifesciences, and received an unmodified audit opinion.
The Rs. 1 dividend is a small payout relative to standalone earnings, but the sharp swing to a consolidated loss and heavy acquisition-related spending may worry investors despite the solid standalone growth and improved balance sheet.
