Bharat Road Network Limited's Board, on May 13, 2025, approved its audited financial results for FY25, which carry a qualified opinion from the auditors. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell to Rs. 590.67 lakhs (vs Rs. 734.60 lakhs in FY24) and the company posted a massive net loss of Rs. 30,815.06 lakhs, driven mainly by impairment of Rs. 23,116.44 lakhs on a subsidiary investment and Rs. 4,835.38 lakhs on an associate. The auditors flagged that the company has not recognized interest on about Rs. 26,357 lakhs of borrowings, which understates liabilities by Rs. 8,057 lakhs and understates losses further. The auditors also highlighted a material uncertainty on going concern due to defaults on loan repayments and significant accumulated losses. On a consolidated basis, revenue declined to Rs. 27,428.63 lakhs and reported profit of Rs. 13,612.80 lakhs came almost entirely from an exceptional gain of Rs. 18,392.16 lakhs on losing control of subsidiary STPL. Additional concerns include a PMLA search and Rs. 12,521.42 lakhs in frozen assets at subsidiary GIPL, termination notices at associate projects KEPL and MTPL, and an outstanding IBC notice against the company.
