Bharat Wire Ropes reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹14,165 lakhs, up about 6% from ₹13,347 lakhs in the same quarter last year. However, total expenses rose faster at nearly 11%, driven by higher raw material costs (₹8,048 lakhs vs ₹7,178 lakhs), finance costs (up 17% to ₹376 lakhs) and depreciation. Profit before tax fell about 12% to ₹2,069 lakhs, and net profit declined roughly 13.5% to ₹1,561 lakhs (from ₹1,805 lakhs). Basic EPS came in at ₹2.02 versus ₹2.64 in the year-ago quarter. The statutory auditor (NGS & Co. LLP) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis-of-matter paragraphs.
Modest top-line growth was more than offset by rising input and finance costs, squeezing operating margins and pushing net profit lower YoY. Short-term sentiment may be mildly negative due to margin pressure and a sequential earnings dip, though the core business remains profitable and the audit opinion is clean.
