Bharti Airtel reported strong Q2 FY26 results with consolidated revenue of Rs 521,454 Mn, up 16% year-on-year (H1 FY26 up 17% to Rs 1,016,080 Mn). EBITDA grew 17% YoY to Rs 299,190 Mn with margin expanding 0.6 percentage points to 57.4%. Net income (before exceptional items) jumped 69% YoY to Rs 67,916 Mn, with no exceptional items this quarter vs Rs 3,183 Mn last year. Customer base crossed 623.5 million, up from 563.2 million a year ago. India SA revenue grew 11% YoY to Rs 386,901 Mn, while Africa revenue surged 35% in rupee terms to Rs 136,795 Mn with EBITDA margin improving to 49.1%. Net debt fell 5% YoY to Rs 1,947,131 Mn, with net debt-to-EBITDA improving to 1.63x. Capex rose 26% YoY to Rs 113,623 Mn, but operating free cash flow remained healthy at Rs 185,567 Mn. The company also highlighted new partnerships including a free Perplexity AI subscription for all customers and the launch of Airtel Cloud.
Strong broad-based growth across India and Africa, expanding margins, and deleveraging signal operational momentum. The 69% jump in net income and improving leverage ratios are likely positive for shareholder sentiment, though higher capex spend reflects continued network investment.
