Bharti Airtel posted strong Q1 FY26 results with consolidated revenue rising 18% year-on-year to Rs 494,626 crore, led by 22% growth in India Mobile Services and 25% growth in Africa (constant currency). EBITDA grew 22% to Rs 281,668 crore with margins expanding 1.9 percentage points to 56.9%. Net income after exceptional items climbed 40% to Rs 59,479 crore, while profit before exceptional items nearly doubled at 97% YoY growth. Total customer base expanded 6.7% YoY to 605.5 million, India mobile ARPU rose 18.8% to Rs 250, and capex fell 15%, lifting operating free cash flow by 49% to Rs 198,598 crore. Prior period numbers have been recast following the consolidation of Indus Towers.
A robust quarter with broad-based revenue growth, margin expansion, sharply higher free cash flow, and continued deleveraging (net debt-to-EBITDA down to 1.70x). Positive read for shareholders, though the stock may already price in such expectations.
