Bharti Hexacom reported Q1 FY26 revenue of Rs 2,263 crore, up 18.4% year-on-year, driven by an 17.8% rise in mobile services revenue and a 38% jump in its Homes and Office (broadband) business. Mobile ARPU improved sharply to Rs 246 from Rs 205 a year ago, supported by tariff hikes, premium customer mix and higher data consumption. EBITDA grew 33.5% YoY to Rs 1,217 crore with margin expanding by 606 basis points to 53.8%, reflecting cost-saving initiatives. Profit before tax more than doubled to Rs 527 crore, while net income (before exceptional items) rose 102.9% to Rs 392 crore; however, reported net income after exceptional items was Rs 392 crore versus Rs 511 crore in the year-ago quarter, as the prior year had a one-time gain. Net debt to EBITDAaL ratio stood at a comfortable 0.65 times.
Strong topline growth, healthy margin expansion and rising ARPU signal continued operating momentum, likely positive for the stock. However, the headline PAT appears flat year-on-year due to the absence of exceptional gains this quarter, which may temper valuation multiples in the near term.
