Bhilwara Spinners reported total income of Rs 2,506.82 lakh for FY25, a sharp jump of about 162% from Rs 955.18 lakh in FY24, driven by its revival-phase operations as the new Denim Unit's weaving section started production on December 27, 2024. Full-year profit before tax was Rs 244.66 lakh (vs Rs 209.51 lakh), with net profit almost flat at Rs 173.06 lakh (vs Rs 173.39 lakh), as higher depreciation and finance costs from the new capex offset operating gains. However, the standalone Q4 FY25 results showed a loss of Rs 32.65 lakh at the net level, versus a Rs 67 lakh profit in Q4 FY24, reflecting ramp-up costs. The company booked an exceptional gain of Rs 67.04 lakh from sale of land and building in FY25 (vs Rs 150.33 lakh in FY24). The auditor M/s ABN & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, and accounts continue on a going-concern basis as the board explores revival options. The board also approved a change of statutory auditor to M/s CLB & Associates for a 5-year term.
The strong revenue jump signals the start of a turnaround after years of stagnation, but flat annual PAT and a Q4 loss suggest the new Denim Unit is still in early-stage ramp-up, with elevated debt (total borrowings of Rs 7,406 lakh vs equity of Rs 4,531 lakh) keeping financial risk high. Shareholders should watch for sustained revenue growth and margin improvement in coming quarters to confirm revival.
