Biocon's board approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025; statutory auditor's report is unqualified. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations grew modestly to Rs. 1,52,617 million (vs Rs. 1,47,557 million in FY24, ~3.4% growth), while net profit rose to Rs. 14,294 million from Rs. 12,978 million (~10% growth). Q4 FY25 was stronger, with consolidated revenue of Rs. 44,170 million and net profit of Rs. 4,594 million (more than double Rs. 2,229 million in Q4 FY24), aided by a Rs. 10,573 million gain on the sale of Biocon Biologics' Metabolics, Oncology and Critical Care business to Eris Lifesciences. Standalone net profit jumped to Rs. 6,093 million, boosted by a one-time exceptional gain of Rs. 6,075 million from selling 8 million Syngene shares. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (record date July 4, 2025) and also approved raising up to Rs. 45,000 million through securities issuance. Subsidiary BBL refinanced USD 1.1 billion of debt via Singapore-listed bonds and a syndicate facility, improving liquidity. Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai was re-appointed as Independent Director for 5 years, and V. Sreedharan & Associates appointed as Secretarial Auditor for 5 years; the 47th AGM is set for August 8, 2025.
Results are broadly stable with margin expansion (consolidated operating margin up to 28.66% from 28.22%) and strong Q4 execution, though headline standalone PAT is flattered by a one-time Syngene stake sale. Shareholders get a modest Rs. 0.50 dividend; the Rs. 45,000 million fund raise and BBL debt refinancing are key near-term events to watch for dilution and capital structure implications.
