Birla Cable Limited announced its Q1 FY26 results on 7 August 2025. Revenue from operations rose to ₹17,643.76 lakhs, up about 6.3% from ₹16,590.77 lakhs in the same quarter last year and about 13% higher than the previous quarter. Net profit jumped sharply to ₹134.49 lakhs standalone (₹136.21 lakhs consolidated) from just ₹2.54 lakhs a year ago, helped by lower finance costs and a reduction in other expenses. The company operates in a single segment — cables — and the limited review by statutory auditor V. Sankar Aiyar & Co. was clean with no qualifications. EPS for the quarter stood at ₹0.45 on a standalone and consolidated basis.
A strong year-on-year rebound in profits is the key positive, though the absolute earnings are still modest. The single-segment, cable-focused business and clean auditor report offer no negative red flags, but the dramatic profit jump is partly a low base effect from a weak Q1 FY25.
