Birla Precision Technologies reported weaker FY25 results with standalone revenue from operations declining about 8% to Rs. 20,718 lakhs (vs Rs. 22,577 lakhs in FY24) and profit after tax falling roughly 49% to Rs. 542.97 lakhs (vs Rs. 1,066.14 lakhs). Consolidated revenue also slipped about 5% to Rs. 21,357 lakhs with PAT down around 38% to Rs. 585.14 lakhs. The board recommended a very small final dividend of Rs. 0.05 per share (face value Rs. 2). It approved the closure of wholly owned German subsidiary Birla Precision GMBH via voluntary strike-off, as it contributed only 0.73% of revenue and was loss-making. New statutory auditor T R Chadha & Co LLP was appointed for 5 years, along with other auditor re-appointments. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion on the results.
Shareholders see a sharp drop in earnings and a token dividend, but operating cash flow swung to a positive Rs. 770 lakhs from a Rs. 1,045 lakh outflow last year. Closing the loss-making German subsidiary and tightening the cost base may support margins going forward, but near-term profitability pressure is evident.
