BirlaNu Limited (formerly HIL Limited) reported Q3 FY26 standalone results swinging to a profit of Rs. 11.13 crore from a loss of Rs. 11.41 crore in Q3 FY25, with revenue rising to Rs. 529.49 crore from Rs. 496.48 crore. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew about 6.5% to Rs. 857.84 crore but losses widened sharply to Rs. 53.03 crore in Q3 from Rs. 35.48 crore last year, driven by losses in the Pipes & Construction Chemicals and Floors segments. For nine months, standalone profit fell to Rs. 35.77 crore from Rs. 91.30 crore, while consolidated loss deepened to Rs. 97.21 crore. The board approved amalgamation of wholly owned subsidiary Clean Coats Private Limited (no consideration as it is a wholly owned unit, so no share dilution) and granted 1,10,131 ESOP options at Rs. 1,803.80 each. The company also got a favourable GST order and in-principle approval to sell assets worth Rs. 25.42 crore.
Standalone turnaround is positive, but widening consolidated losses and weak performance in the Pipes & Construction Chemicals and Floors segments may concern investors. The Clean Coats merger is internal (no share dilution) and could deliver synergies in construction chemicals, while ESOP grants signal retention focus but add to future dilution if exercised.
