BirlaNu (formerly HIL Limited) reported strong Q1 FY27 results. Standalone revenue grew 10 percent to Rs 824 crore; PAT surged 153 percent to Rs 49.7 crore with EPS of Rs 65.89. Consolidated revenue rose 11.6 percent to Rs 1,174 crore and swung to a Rs 9.4 crore PAT from a loss last year. Board also approved a new greenfield Fibre Cement Board plant in Hyderabad, adding 72,000 metric tons capacity at an estimated Rs 167 crore investment over 24 months, funded via internal accruals and borrowings. Q1 FY26 figures were restated for amalgamation of five pipes businesses.
Sharp earnings turnaround and Rs 167 crore capex expansion signal growth push. Plant addition may lift future revenues but adds debt and execution risk.
