Bits Ltd reported a strong Q1 FY26 with revenue from operations rising to Rs 30.90 lakh, up about 25.5% from Rs 24.62 lakh in Q1 FY25. Total revenue (including other income) stood at Rs 31.01 lakh versus Rs 24.62 lakh a year ago. Standalone profit before tax jumped to Rs 7.39 lakh from Rs 2.77 lakh, more than 2.5x growth, helped by lower other expenditure and only modest rise in employee costs. Depreciation increased sharply to Rs 5.35 lakh from Rs 1.52 lakh. On a consolidated basis, including a Rs 1.57 lakh share from associate Prurient IT Solutions, total comprehensive income came in at Rs 8.96 lakh versus Rs 3.46 lakh. Basic EPS (standalone) improved to Rs 0.0066 from Rs 0.0025. The auditor (R.C. Chadda & Co LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
A sharp jump in profits on the back of decent revenue growth and contained other expenses is a positive signal for shareholders, though the absolute numbers remain very small relative to the Rs 2,237.50 lakh paid-up capital. No material concerns flagged by auditors; the stock is unlikely to see a major reaction barring follow-up volume disclosure.
