Black Rose Industries reported a weaker Q2 FY26 with standalone revenue from operations falling to Rs 8,397.60 lakhs from Rs 9,304.61 lakhs a year ago, and H1 revenue declining to Rs 14,382.55 lakhs versus Rs 16,722.18 lakhs in H1 FY25. Standalone net profit for Q2 dropped sharply to Rs 443.06 lakhs (vs Rs 1,026.84 lakhs) and H1 PAT fell to Rs 867.23 lakhs (vs Rs 1,495.03 lakhs), with EPS at Rs 0.87 for the quarter. The company booked a Rs 25.36 lakh exceptional loss due to fire. Operating cash flow swung positive to Rs 2,050.40 lakhs from a negative figure last year. The Board also appointed Mr. Mayur Desai as an Additional Independent Director for five years, subject to shareholder approval via postal ballot. The wholly-owned Japan subsidiary, B.R. Chemicals Co. Ltd, is being wound down and shown as discontinued operations.
The sharp drop in revenue and profits signals continued pressure on the core chemicals business, though improving working capital boosted cash flow. Investors should watch for any recovery in top-line and the impact of the Japan subsidiary's closure on consolidated numbers going forward.
