Blue Star's Board approved its Q1 FY26 results on August 6, 2025. Consolidated revenue from operations grew to ₹2,982.25 crore from ₹2,865.37 crore in Q1 FY25, a rise of about 4%. However, profit after tax fell sharply to ₹120.82 crore from ₹168.76 crore, a decline of roughly 28%. Standalone revenue rose to ₹2,846.63 crore while standalone PAT dropped to ₹108.56 crore from ₹146.06 crore. Operating margin compressed to 6.71% (consolidated) from 8.30% a year ago. The Electro-Mechanical Projects segment saw strong revenue growth, but the Unitary Products segment (which is seasonal) and Professional Electronics both declined. The auditor (Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Mixed signal for shareholders – top-line growth was modest while bottom-line fell nearly 28% due to margin compression, which may weigh on the stock in the short term. The strong performance in the project-based cooling business is a positive, but the seasonal unitary products weakness needs to be watched in the coming quarters.
