Blue Star Limited reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹2,982.25 crore for Q1 FY26, up about 4% from ₹2,865.37 crore in Q1 FY25. However, profit after tax fell sharply to ₹120.82 crore from ₹168.76 crore, a drop of roughly 28%. Consolidated EPS came in at ₹5.88 versus ₹8.88 last year. On a standalone basis, revenue rose about 5% to ₹2,846.63 crore, but PAT declined nearly 26% to ₹108.56 crore. Segment-wise, the electro-mechanical projects and commercial AC segment posted strong revenue growth, while the unitary products segment saw revenue and profits decline sharply. Operating margin compressed to 6.71% from 8.30% a year ago, reflecting weaker profitability despite top-line growth. Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
Despite decent revenue growth, the steep fall in profits and margin compression may weigh on near-term investor sentiment. Shareholders should watch for improvement in the unitary products segment and overall margin recovery in upcoming quarters.
