Blue Star Limited reported consolidated revenue of Rs 12,401.99 Crores for FY2026, up 3.6% from Rs 11,967.65 Crores in FY2025. However, profit after tax declined to Rs 527.33 Crores from Rs 591.28 Crores in the prior year, a fall of about 10.8%. On standalone basis, revenue grew to Rs 11,779.23 Crores (from Rs 11,325.75 Crores) but PAT dropped to Rs 385.10 Crores from Rs 484.90 Crores. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 8.50 per share (face value Rs 2), lower than Rs 9 per share paid for FY2025. Exceptional items of Rs 17.52 Crores were recorded, primarily due to reversal of Rs 18.80 Crores from labour code provisions (originally Rs 56.35 Crores provision made in Q3). Statutory auditors Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued unmodified (clean) audit opinions on both standalone and consolidated results. The 78th AGM is scheduled for August 6, 2026.
The decline in profitability despite modest revenue growth and lower dividend payout may concern investors. The clean audit opinion provides assurance on financial reporting quality. Net profit margin compressed to 4.23% from 4.91% in the prior year.
