BNR Udyog reported weak Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations at just Rs. 10.93 lakhs, sharply down from Rs. 51.92 lakhs in the preceding quarter and Rs. 43.32 lakhs in Q2 FY25. The company slipped into a loss of Rs. 7.94 lakhs for the quarter (vs. a profit of Rs. 71.63 lakhs in Q1 FY26), with basic EPS turning negative at (Rs. 0.26). Total income of Rs. 35.34 lakhs was propped up by Rs. 24.41 lakhs of other income, mainly profit from the sale of land (Rs. 16.23 lakhs) and vehicles (Rs. 6.10 lakhs), indicating that core operating activity was minimal. For H1 FY26, revenue from operations fell roughly 40% to Rs. 62.86 lakhs (vs. Rs. 105.16 lakhs a year ago) and PAT dropped to Rs. 19.69 lakhs from Rs. 47.96 lakhs. The auditor (Laxminiwas & Co.) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
The dramatic sequential drop in operating revenue and the return to quarterly losses point to weak underlying business activity, with profits being sustained primarily by one-off asset sales. Shareholders should view the sharp revenue decline and negative quarterly PAT as negative signals for near-term earnings visibility, though the company remains debt-free with a strong cash balance of Rs. 332.17 lakhs.
