Bombay Dyeing reported FY2025-26 standalone revenue of Rs 1,460.33 crore, down 9% from Rs 1,605.43 crore in the previous year. Net profit for the year stood at Rs 26.66 crore, significantly lower than Rs 489.83 crore in FY24-25, though the prior year profit was inflated by exceptional items of Rs 552.56 crore (versus just Rs 1.19 crore this year). The company declared a 20% dividend (Rs 0.40 per Rs 2 share). Notably, the board decided not to pursue a previously announced rights issue. Finance costs declined to Rs 13.13 crore from Rs 19.24 crore. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements.
The 9% revenue decline reflects ongoing challenges in the textiles and polyester business. While the company remains profitable and maintains a clean audit, the decision to abandon the rights issue may indicate a change in capital strategy. Shareholders can expect the dividend payout in August 2026.
