The Board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations fell about 16% year-on-year to ₹377.84 crore from ₹450.97 crore, while total income came in at ₹414.52 crore versus ₹473.10 crore a year ago. Profit after tax stood at ₹13.76 crore (consolidated ₹13.81 crore), down from ₹15.47 crore last year. At the segment level, Polyester revenue was ₹360.51 crore but the segment swung to a loss of ₹8.42 crore versus a profit of ₹3.55 crore last year; Real Estate had no revenue this quarter and posted a loss of ₹4.38 crore; Retail/Textile improved to ₹14.09 crore revenue and ₹3.19 crore profit. The Board also appointed Mr. Jehangir Nusli Wadia as Vice-Chairman with immediate effect. The statutory auditor (Bansi S. Mehta & Co.) included an Emphasis of Matter on the 2022 SEBI order imposing a ₹2.25 crore penalty and a 2-year market-access ban, noting that the SAT appeal is heard and order is reserved.
Weak Q1 performance – revenue drop and segment losses – may pressure the stock, although bottom-line was partly cushioned by a tax adjustment. The unresolved SEBI matter continues to be a regulatory overhang. The Vice-Chairman appointment signals a possible strategic realignment at the promoter level.
